It’s been a bit more challenging lately at Redfish University but we seem to always figure it out and produce great catches of the shallow inshore species. Full moon and high winds can make things tricky but consistently being around large numbers of fish is the key. Guided regulars, Terrance and Rich, this morning for some redfish and speckled trout. Started at first-light with topwaters only to draw a few fish but lots of misses and blowups. Since Pure Fishing acquired Sebile Lures, I have been extremely impressed by these baits. Switched to the Sebile Stick Shadds and absolutely hammered the big trout all morning. Wind blocked banks aren’t always the ticket in windy conditions as we found most of our quality fish on banks being pounded by small swells. After getting lots and lots of trout in the 2-5# range we concentrated on the redfish. Found lots of mullet and minnows and the fish were there. Ended up with some in the 25-30″ range that were taken on Gulp! 5″ Jerkshads. All fish released and back with T and Rich tomorrow for another epic experience at Redfish University. E Holstman
